A decompression chamber may help children with autism, say researchers.
Government Announcement
In a joint Government statement to MPs, Phil Hope MP, Minister for Care Services, and Sarah McCarthy-Fry MP, Minister for Schools and Learners have announced a far-reaching set of initiatives to improve the lives of people with autism in England. The measures announced are a direct response to the Cheryl Gillan Autism Bill and address all the outcomes sought in the Bill.
I thought you might be interested in hearing about an exciting new online community for parents and carers of children with autism. The community, called talk about autism, will allow you to talk to others about the issues surrounding autism, especially education and development of young people and children with autism.
At 11am on Tuesday 30th September 2008, His Worship the Mayor of Taunton Deane, Councillor Tim Slattery, accompanied by the Mayoress, Mrs Gill Slattery, declared the new Taunton Autism Support Group website launched - and it went live!
The launch was attended by parents/carers and professionals involved in supporting individuals with children on the Autistic Spectrum. [...]
